The Blaze

divine flames

If your life is not for the world,
Then give it to God.
Because it’s not enough to know
What you’re not for,
But what you are.

Abandoning the world
Might seem to make an absence,
But it reveals
The fullness of life,
Of Being,
Of God.

Leave the world alone,
And His presence awakens
In your heart,
In all of you.

He was already there,
Waiting for your love,
Which is His love
In you.

It rises
Like a sacrificial flame
To the Heavens.

Light the fires of love
In your heart,
And be consumed
By the Divine blaze.
