A Conversation With Maggie Gilewicz

I recently sat down for a cup of virtual coffee with the delightful Maggie Gilewicz, PhD for her ORDINARY PEOPLE, ORDINARY AWAKENINGS podcast. We talked for a couple of hours about my (long) spiritual journey, both before and after awakening, and discussed some of the misconceptions and challenges facing the spiritual seeker and awakened being alike. Hope you enjoy.

The seemingly simple task of describing a path from ‘a’ to ‘be’ unravels the very notions that uphold the conditioned view. It’s impossible to find a starting point, there’s no beginning. • The Delusion Known as ‘Personhood’

The delusion known as ‘personhood’ or ‘self-view’ persists until it starts to collapse under the weight of its own evidential unreality. Your life is not your responsibility, you’re not doing it, you’re not ‘living’ your life, if anything life is living you. It’s important to recognize this. The burden of activity is not yours. Doership is a concept that has been imposed on the uncaused nature of life. Even the notion of a cosmic, supreme doer…
